Today, you are going to enjoy the Kathmandu Valley Tour – the city full of World Heritage Sites, Nepali culture and many more to explore.
Early morning, we offer you a warm breakfast and your sightseeing starts with our city guide. At first, you visit Pashupatinath Temple – the holiest Hindu Temple on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, then move to Boudhanath Stupa – the biggest Buddhist Stupa architecture in the world. After that, we drive you to Patan Durbar Square. In addition, we take you to Swayambhunath Stupa – the 2000 years old legendary stupa on the hilltop also nick-named as monkey temple. Finally, we come to Kathmandu Durbar Square, observe Kumari Temple (living goddess temple), Nautale Durbar, the Kaal Bhairav, the Swet Bhairav, the freak streets and more.
Your exciting city tour finishes in the evening. You take a delicious dinner and take a rest collecting energy for the upcoming adventure.
Today, after taking early breakfast, we drive you from Kathmandu to Baluwa. We drive you through the tropical and sub-tropical landscapes along the Trishuli River – a famous river for rafting. Before 15 km reaching Gorkha Bazaar (the headquarters of Gorkha district), we turn towards Baluwa driving on the rough and bumpy road. Enjoying various landscapes on the way, we reach Baluwa.
Overnight, we stay and take a rest here at Baluwa.
On this day, we follow the path down to the Daraudi River and walk across the paddy field. Next, we continue to climb up. As we go higher, we have a beautiful view of the river valley and Buddha Himal (6672 m) in the distance. The trail ascends across a parched terraced farming area. We continue to climb steeply toward Barpak – the main settlement in this area and the epicenter of 2015 devastated 7.8 Richter scale earthquakes.
Overnight, we stay here, and you can explore culture, lifestyle and local landscapes in the evening.
This day, we enjoy a warm breakfast and the spectacular view of Buddha Himal. After that, we move towards Gaikharka (cow pasture) passing through rhododendron and oak woodland. As we climb higher, the mountains appear closer with wonderful views. At last, we reach Gaikharka.
The whole night, we spend here at Gaikharka.
On this day, we follow the zigzag trails in the dense forest. You feel relatively easier than the previous day. Finally, we reach Bhaisi Kharka (buffalo pasture).
Overnight, we take shelter and take a rest here at Bhaisi Kharka.
Enjoying an early delicate breakfast, we start our trek from Bhaisi Kharka to Rupina La Phedi. At first, we go down through a steady narrow path and reach Bhedi Kharka (sheep pasture) and have lunch here. Next, we continue our trek and reach Rupina La Phedi after a three-hour climb.
Overnight, we stay here at Rupina La Phedi.
On this day, our trek takes us to a difficult terrain toward Rupina La Pass. Taking an early breakfast, we keep our pace. After climbing up about four hours, we reach Rupila La Pass.
After that, we go down the other side of the Rupila La Pass Base Camp to shelter at a herder’s house.
This day, we reach to Jarang crossing two glaciers and a somewhat flat tail to another magnificent campground with the best view of the Himalayas. We set up a camp here.
Overnight, we spend night at the camp.
Taking an early breakfast, our trail descends which takes us from Bihi – a stone-carved village to Namrung. We continue our trek following the Budhi Gandaki route. Passing through enchanting fir and rhododendron forest, we reach Ghap and then climb Tum Khola. We cross a bridge over Budhi Gandaki River and reach Namrung.
Trekking further, the next village Sho welcomes us offering a more spectacular view of Mt. Manaslu (8,163 m), Manaslu North (7,157 m) and Naike Peak (5,515 m). After a short walk from Sho village, we reach Lho Gaun with the busy Ribum Gompa.
Overnight, we stay and take a rest at Lho.
along the little river and climb the steady trail. Then, we reach Shyaula – an exciting plateau of the high mountains. You feel greeted with beautiful chortens and magnificent mountain sights.
Our journey continues. We follow the trail through dense forest witnessing the stunning waterfall in hilly terrain. Moving further, the valley opens wider leading to a bigger village of Samagaun.
Overnight, we stay here at Samagaun.
This is rest and exploration day at Samagaon and nearby regions. You would feel blessed after seeing innocent smiling faces of children and kind people accompanied with enchanting natural beauty. Also, you can explore big chortens, colorful flags, prayer wheels, piled mani stones with holy inscriptions. In addition, you observe amazing woodcraft and women wearing traditional jewellery. Even, you go to Pungyen monastery and feel blessed with its sanity and holiness in the Himalayas.
Touching cool air, you can capture panoramic views of the mountains. And, you also can have a short hike to Birendra Tal – a freshwater lake with its turquoise color makes your hike mesmerizing and valuable. Also, we trek up to Manaslu Base Camp and capture the most scenic moments.
Samagaon is a perfect example of authentic religious and cultural traditions and natural views in the Himalayan region of Nepal. Enjoy it.
Overnight, we stay here.
Today, we head towards Samdo following the north side trail of Sama village with drier vegetation and a cold climate. We pass a large pasture land Khemu Kharka with long Mani walls and scrubby forest. Continuing our trek, we reach Samdo – the last village before Larkya La. At Samdo, you see a chorten, farmland, green pastures/fields, a white entrance and Buddhist-stone houses.
During summer, Samdo is the trade spot for Tibet and Samdo village to exchange woolen craft and other materials. Overnight, we stay here at Samdo
On this day, leaving Samdo, you stroll through the northern trail of the village. Then, taking the westward trail, you pass through the dense juniper and rhododendron woodland. After that, you head towards Larkhya Phedi. On the way, you might encounter Blue Sheep if you are lucky. While climbing up to Larkhya Phedi, enjoy the panoramic view of the Syacha Glaciers originated from the Larkhya Himal.
Overnight, we stay here at Dharmasala.
We start our trek early in the morning. After ascending for some time, we reach Larkhya La Pass – it’s a proven challenge. We continue our journey following the frozen lake’s moraine and stepping on snow. It’s tiresome but fun when we conquer. You will see Himlung Himal (7126m), Cheo Himal (6820m), Gyaji Kung (7030m) and Annapurna II (7937m) mirroring majestically in front of you.
Then, we descend through slippery trails which leads us to Taubuche. Walking further, we reach Bhimthang – a wider valley. We stay here overnight.
From Bhimthang, we catch the trail to glacier stream, cross a wooden bridge and walk up to the valley of Burdin Khola. From the ridge, enjoy the outstanding views of Manaslu and Annapurna II.
Again, we drop to Dudh Khola, then to Karche – the highest cultivated land in this valley. Further, passing through farming fields, rhododendron and oak forest, we reach warmer apple campsite Tilje.
Overnight, we stay here at Tilje.
From Tilje, we ascend to the ridge of the village. Leaving the village, we cross the suspension bridge over Dudh Khola and walk along the bank of the river. After that, we cross a suspension bridge over the Marshyandi River and reunite with the Annapurna Circuit trail at Dharapani.
Then, we follow down the trails to Marsyandi River enjoying the scenic views of waterfalls and greeneries. Finally, we reach Chyamje – a small Tibetan village.
Today, the trail follows a jeep track through the narrow Marshyandi valley and on to Jagat, where it continues to a spectacular waterfall high above the river’s south bank. Cross the bridal and walk through rice fields, little streams, and a hard ascent up a typical Bahundanda settlement. The vista of the green Marshyandi deep valley is breathtaking, and the route descends to the river to Ngadi Bazar.
Early morning, from Ngadi Bazaar to Bulbule to Besisahar, we drive you via the temporary dusty rural roads. When we reach Besisahar, the road becomes smooth to Kathmandu.
On the way, you enjoy the scenic pastoral landscapes, terrace farming, and rows of settlements on both sides of the road. We guarantee that you will be so happy to see distant mountains, close giant hills, rural villages, fast-flowing rivers (Marsyangdi, Narayani and Trishuli).
After 7-8 hours of a comfortable journey, we reach Kathmandu and transfer you to the hotel. You can take a rest or explore the streets and markets in Kathmandu. Even you can enjoy various cuisines at different restaurants in Thamel – the No. 1 tourist city in Nepal.
