Everest View Short Trek is a customized trekking package for you – the trekkers with limited time and budget, but dream of witnessing the world’s highest peak Mt. Everest closely. This Trek offers you lifetime memories of a heart-pounding turbulent mountain flight, crossing the roaring milky rivers, witnessing jaw-dropping landscapes, being inside tranquil nature, and capturing sparkling snowy mountains. In addition, you can explore primitive culture, amiable hospitality, visit monasteries, spin prayer wheels, observe inscribed Mani walls, touch green hills and pass through alpine-rhododendron dense forests.

Your Journey starts flying between giant mountains. After a 30 minutes flight, you land at Lukla airport – one of the most dangerous airports in the world. Meeting your guide and local porters at Lukla, you reach Phakding enjoying Sherpa settlements, monasteries, Dudh Koshi River, alpine-rhododendron forests and mountain views. You also relish diverse flora and fauna at Sagarmatha National Park – one of the highest national parks in the world and listed under the UNESCO world heritage list.

Reaching Namche – the gateway to the Everest Region, you spend a lot of time here. Enjoy 2 days and 3 nights at Namche and its surroundings – a place with a glorious history, stunning views and outstanding Sherpa hospitality.

During your stay at Namche, you trek sides and up to it. You go up to the Everest View Hotel, and witness the magnificent views of Mt. Everest (8,848m), Mt. Khumbila (5,761m), Mt. Itinerary

When you land at the Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will greet you and transport you to our luxury hotel/guesthouse and assist you to check-in. So, look for someone holding a placard with your name or our company’s name – Lonely Nepal – waiting for you.

On this day, you simply relax at Hotel/Guesthouse overnight and restore your energy to accomplish your upcoming adventurous trip.

Our company organizes a short introductory meeting in the evening. You will meet your trekking guide, and our trekking expert will provide you with all the detailed information about the trek.

On this day, you are going to enjoy the Kathmandu Valley Tour – the city full of World Heritage Sites, Nepali culture and many more to explore.

At dawn, we offer you a warm breakfast and your sightseeing starts with our city guide. At first, you visit Pashupatinath Temple – the holiest Hindu Temple on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, then move to Boudhanath Stupa – the biggest Buddhist Stupa architecture in the world. After that, we drive you to Patan Durbar Square. In addition, we take you to Swayambhunath Stupa – the 2000 years old legendary stupa on the hilltop also nick-named as monkey temple. In the end, we come to Kathmandu Durbar Square, observe Kumari Temple (living goddess temple), Nautale Durbar, the Kaal Bhairav, the Swet Bhairav, the freak streets and more.

Your city tour ends in the evening. You take a delicate dinner and take a rest restoring energy for the upcoming adventure.

Today, we take an early morning flight (30-40 minutes) from Kathmandu to Lukla. As the plane passes between towering mountains, the flight offers you the heart-pounding experience of the turbulence and tranquil picturesque of the Himalayan range. Finally, you land at Lukla airport – the gateway to the Everest Region.

How would you feel landing on the airport with just a single runway on a cliff? You will get surprised. Right? Lukla airport is one of the most dangerous airports in the world.

At Lukla, you get to rest for some time, meet your local porters and arrange the luggage.

From Lukla, after showing your Trekking Permit at the Lukla checkpoint, your footsteps head towards Phakding – a Sherpa village renowned for the 500 years old monastery.  You follow the trails down to Thalsaroa, and then to Cheplung. Then, the trail traces along Dudh Koshi valley enjoying the introductory view of Mt. Khumbila (5,761m/18901ft). You continue your pace for a few hours and reach Ghat (2,520m/8,350ft). Further a short walk from Ghat, we reach Phakding – our today’s destination. Enjoy the best hotel, hygienic cuisine, and friendly hospitality with superb service at Phakding.

Today, we trek from Phakding to Namche – the largest tourism hub in the Everest region.

Passing through the dense fir, alpine and rhododendron forest along Dudh Koshi River, we go up to Benkar. From Benkar, we further walk through dense forest and cross suspension bridges which take us to Chhumuwa and Monjo.

At Monjo, you must register your trekking permit at the check-post, and then trek inside the Sagarmatha National Park. You feel completely enthusiastic about the wonderful environment of the park. Also, you may encounter wild animals and several species of vegetation. Watch them out!

Ahead, we cross the Tenzing-Hillary suspension bridge over Dudh-Koshi River, ascend via the pine and fir forest to the ridge.

On the trail toward the ridge, we have the first glimpse of Mt. Everest.  Enjoy it.

Continue your pace uphill pace for a couple of hours; finally, you arrive at Namche Bazaar. Enjoy the rest of your time at Namche – standard lodging and modern facilities like ATMs, internet, cyber cafes, pubs, and restaurants.

The next day, the Namche sidewise trip starts after having an early breakfast at Namche. You follow north of Namche climbing along the ridge. Enjoy magnificent sights as you pass the historic salt trading route with Tibet. You pass through dense alpine and rhododendron forests to reach Phurte and Theso. Furthermore, strolling on the rough and drier path, you reach Thamo village where you can see two Gompas (monasteries) – Khari and Lawudo with exquisite mural paintings and architectural omnipotence. You also feel blessed with the ideal landscape of Mani boulders, prayer flags, Mani wheels, Chortens, and Stupas.

Proceeding ahead, the track ascends to Somade over a rocky and gravel road, providing a stunning view of the peaks of Knog De Ri (6,187m) and Pharchamo (6,273m). Then, you descend to the Bhote Koshi River and pass a tiny bridge over a stone cliff to get to Thame. At Thame, visit the Everest Region’s oldest Gompa, and a spectacular view of the shiny Sunder Peak (5,300m). After you finish discovering at Thame, you go drown the same way or an alternate small path to return to Namche.

You enjoy the next full night at Namche – a place with a glorious history, stunning views and admirable Sherpa hospitality.

On this day, you take your early breakfast and start a short trek to Everest View Hotel and other Sherpa villages in the Khumjung valley. You perceive Mt. Everest towering along with its siblings in front of you.

You start your short trip to the Everest View Hotel, one of the world’s highest hotels. While having tea or coffee, you will be capturing the magnificent views of Mt. Everest (8,848m), Mt. Khumbila (5,761m), Mt. Thamserku (6,623m), Lhotse (8,516m), and Ama Dablam (6,812m). This is a lifetime memory. For physically fit trekkers, there are more to explore – Khumjung and Kunde villages. Otherwise, you can return to Namche from Everest View Hotel.

In the Khumjung village, visit Khumjung Gompa and Khumjung Hillary School (established by Sir Edmund Hillary in 1961). Then, you slope down to Kunde which is well-known for ‘Hillary Hospital’: the largest hospital of the Khumjung region established in 1966.

Keeping your pace, the journey from Kunde to Namche comes at the Syangboche Airport. The airstrip is a non-commercial airfield with an unpaved, short runway that is exclusively used by helicopters to transport hikers who become ill, injured, or require special attention. From the runway, you can enjoy the breathtaking landscape of Namche village. Finally, you drop down to Namche.

If you have time, at Namche, you can enjoy Sherpa culture and traditions, modern facilities, Tibetan artifacts, homemade Yak cheese and butter, and heart-warming hospitality.

Today, we depart from Namche and follow the trails down to the Dudh Koshi River, then retrace our steps to Monjo and Cheplung via the Sagarmatha National Park pathways. You will never forget the excitement of crossing a suspension bridge, walking through deep alpine and rhododendron woods, and hiking along rocky terrain. From Cheplung, we climb for more than half an hour and reach Lukla.

In the evening, you can participate in the farewell program; thank your hard-working and ever-smiling porters. Also, give yourself a total rest.

On this second last day of your trek, we fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla. Restore your memories in the plane flying between giant mountains.  After landing at TIA, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Relax!

Also, you can explore local markets nearby, taste Nepali and other continental cuisines at various restaurants and observe the hustle-bustle lifestyle in Kathmandu.

On this final day, offering you a delicate breakfast, we transfer to the Tribhuvan International airport via our private transportation. We bid a happy ‘Goodbye’ to you and wish you a safe flight.

    My sister and I went on a trip to Nepal in Oct 2018. We got in touch with Ram of Lonely Nepal Travels after a few of our friends reccomended him to us, and we were so glad we did! Nepal has so much to offer, and our trip was planned according to our interests and what we wanted to do. It included everything from visiting town squares and cultural/religious sites, to some adventure like bungee jumping/white water rafting/paragliding, and a trek to Poon Hill.

    Everything was taken care of, down to the smallest details, and the guide was so kind as to invite us out for a traditional Nepalese dinner the day we landed in Kathmandu.

    We went on a 10-day trip to Nepal and had the most amazing time with Ram and the team. They were always there for us, with us throughout our journey to make sure that we were having a blast.
    We went on a 4-days hike, visited Pokhara and Kathmandu, known and unknown places, temples and churches. We had the best local food inside and outside the cities.
    I personally highly recommend Lonely Nepal Travels, they were all so positive, so welcoming and had great knowledge of the history of the country, the traditions, the religions and the areas we were visiting.
