Itinerary

You will meet our representative when you land at the Tribhuvan International Airport. They will greet you, drive to the Nepali authentic restaurant or the place of your choice, and assist you in checking in at hotel in Kathmandu. So, please keep your eyes on someone holding a placard with your name or our company’s name – Lonely Nepal Travels.

In the evening, we meet for a short introduction. You will meet your guide, and our trekking expert will provide you with all the detailed information about the trek.

We offer you a welcome dinner, and you take a rest at the hotel. Then, overnight, you stay at hotel and restore your energy to visit Kathmandu and accomplish your adventurous trip to Mardi Himal Base Camp.

Today, you will enjoy the Kathmandu Valley Tour – the city full of World Heritage Sites, Nepali culture, and many more activities to pursue.

Early morning, we offer you a warm breakfast, and your sightseeing starts with our city guide. At first, you visit Pashupatinath Temple – the holiest Hindu Temple on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, then move to Boudhanath Stupa – the most significant Buddhist Stupa architecture in the world. After that, we will drive you to Patan Durbar Square. In addition, we take you to Swayambhunath Stupa – the 2000 years old legendary stupa on the hilltop, also nick-named as monkey temple. Finally, we come to Kathmandu Durbar Square and stroll around observing Kumari Temple (living goddess temple), Nautale Durbar, the Kaal Bhairav, the Swet Bhairav, the Freak Streets, and more around the locality.

Your exciting city tour finishes in the evening. Then, you will be guided to a delightful dinner and after just take a rest and prepare for the next day.

Early in the morning, we take a warm breakfast and the beautiful road-trip to Pokhara via predetermined vehicle. On the way, you can witness the picturesque green landscapes, terraced farms, and rows of settlements on both sides of the road. Also, you can simply capture the beauty of distant mountains, close gigantic hills, rural settlements, and fast-flowing rivers (Trishuli, Narayani, and Marsyangdi).

If you  are not comfortable with a road journey, you can fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara (about 25 minutes) at an extra cost. The choice is yours.

Ultimately, you reach Pokhara – the city of lakes, multi-culture, and the main tourist hub. We will transfer you to the hotel. You can take a rest or go for an evening walk around the lakeside and explore colorful Pokhara in the evening.

Before you go to sleep, you will receive a short briefing about the Trek to Mardi Himal Trek.

After taking a warm breakfast, we start our Trek to Mardi Himal. We drive you in a off-road jeep to Phedi. From Phedi, we start trekking. We reach Dhampus, passing through dense tropical forests. Take lunch at Dhampus.

The trek becomes more exciting from Dhampus, as you can see spectacular views of the Annapurna Ranges. Further, you climb a forested ridge for about 2 hours and reach Pothana.

Overnight, we stay and take a rest at Pothana.

Today, your day is going to be exceptional. After traveling for about 7 hours, we enter an enchanted forest of birch, giant rhododendron, mountain oak, maple, hemlock, and daphnia.

We can stay at Hotel at Forest Camp.

From Forest Camp, we go up to Low Camp. On the way, you find the flora has turned into a classic cloud forest with mosses and lichen, tree ferns, and orchids. You gaze onto the thrilling panoramic views through the narrow window-like spaces in the woods – dramatic scenery of sacred Mt. Machhapuchhare, Mardi Himal, and Annapurna range.

In the end, we reach Low Camp and stay here overnight.

On this 7th day of our trek, after early breakfast at Low Camp, we start ascending to the High Camp – the highest point of the Mardi Himal Trek.

The sacred and giant mountains and the panoramic views from the High Camp vantage point will be one of the most cherished moment of your life.

On this day, you drop your heavy loads at Hotel at High Camp and trek through narrow yak trail and sloppy sheep grazing land. Trekk slowly!. As you go higher, less oxygen level makes you feel heavier. We will take adequate precautions.

When you reach the Upper View Point, capture the hypnotic landscape and stunning view of Mardi Himal, Mt. Machhapuchhre (fishtail), Hiuchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, and the Himalayan ranges. This is an unforgettable day of the trek.

After enjoying the panoramic views, we retreat to High Camp for lunch.

After early breakfast, we descend to Siding village, walking through the shade of the forest and terraced fields. Ahead, we trek along the way of the Mardi Khola. We pass by lovely farmland and cross suspension bridges on the route.

Finally, we reach Sidding and stay overnight at a camp or hotel.

From Sidding, we will drive you back to Pokhara. Traveling on the rough, bumpy rural roads, you can see local villages, traditional farming, and local people. After 2 hours drive, we reach Pokhara and take Lunch.

In Pokhara, you can explore famous tourist places – Mahendra Cave, David’s Fall, Bats’ Cave, Fewa Lake, and many more.

In the evening, we celebrate our triumph in Pokhara – the most beautiful and top tourist destination in Nepal.

Early in the morning, we take a warm breakfast in Pokhara. Then, we drive back to Kathmandu. On the way, you enjoy the scenic pastoral landscapes, terrace farming, green rolling hills, fast-flowing rivers, and of course the rural and semi-urban settlements.

After 6-7 hours of a comfortable journey, we reach Kathmandu and transfer you to the hotel. You can take a rest or explore the streets and markets in Kathmandu. Also, you can enjoy various foods at different restaurants in Thamel, go bar-hopping or explore the spiritual side of the Nepalese culture.

On this final day, offering you a delightful breakfast, we transfer you to the Tribhuvan International Airport via our private transportation. We bid you a farewell wishing you a safe flight.
